Monstah Huntah!

We learned earlier this month of the passing of one of the world’s most prominent monster hunters, Dr Robert Rines, about whom the folks at Cryptomundo have written a touching remembrance.

If anyone wants to give us a bag of money so we can go to the Cryptozoology Museum in Maine, perhaps to do some Crypto-Chaos, we would not say no. No, never. Not ever.

It’s also, we learn (go poke around their awesome site so they get a nice surprise when they check their stats), 76 years ago yesterday that the first photograph of the Loch Ness Monster was taken. Not the famous one that turned out to be a hoax. A different one.

We love you, cryptozoology people. If I ever get a pet chupacabras, I promise to name it after Dr Rines. Riney, I’ll probably call it.

A question for our site visitors: who or what is your favourite cryptid? And you can’t say Harry from Harry and the Hendersons because that was just a movie. I mean, if you were gonna have to go on a monstah hunt, what kind would you chase, and if you caught it/him/her, what would you do? Don’t you dare kill it.

Here’s a refresher in case you’ve lost track of the world’s cryptids. I’d probably go after this little guy, and he’d get some serious cuddling.

Speaking of chupacabras, now there’s a fun bit of Youtubery!

    Otro misterio INEXPLICABLE!

Totally looks like a particularly sprinty Grey, though. I thought a chupacapbras would look more canine.
